After Bale recently blabbing to the press about how he would have to ‘sit down and discuss’ his future should Spurs not make the Champions League crop, our beloved Ekotto has gone a replicated Bales mistake.

See here for Bennys unwarranted quotes about how Europa is useless. Don’t get me wrong, I don;t think the Europa league is worth the time and I’m glad we ducked out of the competition pretty quickly this year but to act like Spurs haven’t been progressing in the time that Benny has been with us is crazy.

Of course, nowhere does Benny actually say that, but that is what’s clearly implied. 

After all we’ve done for these players. We bring them in, give them a chance in the biggest league in the world and they are quick to jump ship if they feel more money could be had. Mod being another prime example.

I used to love Assou-Ekotto and rave about him being one of the better wing backs in the league, but after such disprespectful comments in this article, my opinion of him has certainly changed.

1-0 down to a lucky deflection. Thought we were doing well up until then.

Just keep doing what you’re doing lads, I can see a 2-1.
